ABOUT HFEN

ABOUT THE HFEN's HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHALLENGE PROGRAMME

This is a LIFESTYLE CHANGE AND HEALTH GAIN Programme. It's called the HFEN's Healthy Lifestyle Challenge programme, and rightly so, because in HFEN every participant is here to challenge themselves. One has to challenge himself/herself to shake off all the bad habits and unhealthy lifestyle choices of the past and build a better and healthier future, not just for themselves but also for their loved ones around them.

Throughout the tenure of these 90 days every challenger (participant) is under the sacred HFEN Oath whereby he/she promises to learn and adopt the healthy lifestyle mantras that are a part of this 90 days challenge programme and incorporate these changes in their everyday life even after the programme has been completed.

The programme is not a Crash Diet or a quick fix, in fact nothing good in life comes easy. It is a disciplined effort of 90 days whereby the challenger slowly builds the foundation for a healthy mind and body.

The Programme has been drafted with the help of Specialist Doctors, Fitness Experts & Dieticians and is conducted with the help of 100's of motivators and head motivators who volunteer their precious personal time for this noble cause. Also you would be happy to know that every motivator that we have in the programme has been a previous successful challenger and therefore has been in the same proverbial ship as you - THE CHALLENGER will be in.

THE HFEN CHARITY INITIATIVE

At HFEN, we believe that the fundamentals of a positive and healthy life is not just how we take care of ourselves but also how much we can make the world we live in a better place!

We all are blessed to have a beautiful life wherein we have the opportunity to seek avenues and opportunities for financial, spiritual and personal growth. This also places on us the responsibility to help others who aren't as fortunate as us.

We believe that if each one of us decides to put in a little personal effort, the world can truly transform into a much more positive and beautiful place.

The programme is FREE OF CHARGE but not FREE FROM RESPONSIBILITY!

At HFEN, we do not seek any fees or charge for the 90 days challenge programme, but kindly remember that me and this entire group of dedicated motivators work relentlessly not with the intention to earn any wealth out of this venture but to help as many people as we can to adopt a healthy and happy lifestyle. We also request you to donate any amount of your choice by the end of 3rd week of the programme so that we can help scores of underprivileged children and the elderly around the world through our HFEN charity! This is the only kind help which we humbly seek from you!

Also towards the end of the programme if you feel that the programme changed your attitude towards health and fitness, you then owe the responsibility of taking it forwards and helping your friends and family by imploring them to enroll for this healthy lifestyle programme.

IMPORTANCE OF HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

We all want to live a long, happy, healthy life with an abundance of energy and vitality, having the ability to perform well both mentally and physically with emotional balance and being free from disease and disorders. One may ask, why is a healthy lifestyle important and how can we accomplish a healthy lifestyle with all the bad temptations of today? To achieve this we need to strive for peak health through a Healthy Lifestyle.

Leading a healthy lifestyle is one of the best decisions you will ever make, one which will have a positive impact on all aspects of your life - physical, mental, and emotional. The issue of healthy lifestyles is an important one. A healthy lifestyle is a valuable resource for reducing the incidence and impact of health problems, enabling you better to cope with life stressors, as well as improving your quality of life.

Many health problems can be prevented or at least their occurrence postponed by having a healthy lifestyle. Many health issues are addressed with exercise, nutrition, stress management and other healthy lifestyle practices.

Let me start here by trying to define lifestyle. Definition:

'A way of life or style of living that reflects the attitudes and values of a person or group'.

In an Encyclopedia of Public Health: Lifestyle:

'In public health, "lifestyle" generally means a pattern of individual practices and personal behavioural choices that are related to elevated or reduced health risk'.

The World Health Organisation in 1946 defined health as

'A complete state of mental, physical and social well-being not merely the absence of disease'.

No matter what your age or where you are in your life today, it is never too late to improve your lifestyle, to make the most of your health and wellbeing. Developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle will change your life, and this will be for the better.

Basically a healthy lifestyle involves:

Eating Correctly
Exercising Sufficiently
Using your Mind Effectively
Limiting the Amount of Unnecessary Stress you Experience

Everyone knows that eating a healthy balanced diet, exercising regularly and coping with stress are of benefit to the body and mind, and are habits necessary for a healthy lifestyle. But how do you balance work and family, and all the other areas of your life without spreading yourself too thinly and having a guilt trip when you do one thing, but think you should be doing another? The solution is to incorporate a healthy lifestyle plan that is designed to ensure you have your life in balance.

A healthy lifestyle must create personal wellbeing - or to put it another way, enable you to balance things in your daily life. All of the key areas of our lives overlap and interlink, effecting each other. Unless we create for ourselves satisfaction in each and every part of our life, we can never truly be fulfilled, or live a contented, happy and healthy life.

The key is to make these healthy lifestyle habits part of your everyday life. You will need to change your existing everyday habits in order to adopt and maintain your new healthy lifestyle. This new lifestyle will allow you to obtain the healthy lifestyle goals you want. You will experience a major change in your life; you will become stronger, sexier, and feel great.

Good healthy lifestyle habits will include the following:

Eating Healthily

Your body requires a well-balanced diet every day in order to maintain the adequate amounts of vitamins, nutrients and minerals needed to maintain a healthy body.

An Active lifestyle

Physical fitness keeps your weight in check, helps you sleep better at night, prevents heart attacks and strokes and other health problems, and generally prolongs your life. Basically there are so many benefits of exercising that you really can't live a full life without it. If you have up until now, then now is the time to incorporate it into your life.

Stress Management

Emotional stress plays an important role in many illnesses, both directly and indirectly. People are also more likely to smoke, overeat, drink too much, work too hard, argue with others and so on, when they are feeling stressed. Thus, stress management is an important part of your new lifestyle.

Make friends with yourself

Loving yourself is a key to a healthy, happy lifestyle. Self-esteem is all about how much people value themselves; the pride they feel in themselves, and how worthwhile they feel. Self-esteem is important because feeling good about yourself can affect how you act. A person who has high self-esteem will make friends easily, is more in control of his or her behaviour, and will enjoy life more.

Powering up your Mind and Body

You can't control the outside world but you certainly can control your inner one. You can't control the events of your life but you can control what they mean to you. Develop a vision, a compelling future that excites and inspires you, and focus on it daily. Don't let anything knock you of course, or make you question its possibility. I promise you, by taking control of your thoughts, you will improve your life in a big way.

Almost everything you do is determined by your habits. From the time you get up in the morning to the time you go to sleep at night, your habits largely control and dictate the words you say, the things you do, and the ways you react and respond. You need good habits that are life enhancing, not ones which hurt you and hold you back. You can acquire and develop any habit that you consider desirable or necessary if you are willing to work at it long enough and hard enough.
